I know we've got some Palworld modders here which is awesome! Do we have any other members who mod or hack other games? I like to hack the Sega master system Sonic games and have been working on and off on a few disassemblies of a few 8-bit Sonic games. I also made a few guides on how to add new features to Sonic 2 SMS and became a Tech Member on Sonic Retro back in 2012. I've been working on a split disassembly of Sonic 1 on the Game Gear, which is basically the portable version of the SMS but it has a bigger color palette.

Does Pokemon ROM hack count? I always assumed ROM hack just means modded Pokemon games. There are so many good ones I have seen over the years, the ones I remember right now are Infinite Fusion and Too Many Types, they are both hilarious, check them out

I play modded Minecraft all the time, imo the game is kinda unplayable unmodded after you tried mods, the base game is just so boring and have no content it feels like. My all time favorite modpacks are Pixelmon ofc, Super Hostile modpack + custom map, Sevtech Ages

Modding or hacking should never be a flex. The game's enjoyment is being jeopardized by your actions. I don't understand why players choose to hack or modify the game. There are some good mods I agree with, but it's not right.

I don't condone those who hack games to make them unfair, say like if someone uses a mod to make it easier to win in player versus player situations. I meant modding games for fun and enjoyment, and adding new features or characters. Basically what people here have done with Palworld, adding new features to the game.

What the heck is this take? One of the most popular game in the world Minecraft owes their longevity to the dedication and talent of the modding community, it would not be nearly as successful if not for the ocean's volumes of mods. The same goes for other survival sandbox games like Terraria. Palworld being a survival sandbox game would not be an exception, Palworld stands to gain from modding by the longevity to the game it adds and the community it builds. Mods are to be celebrated.
